The Raidco Direct Paddy Seeder

 

Description of the product:           


1)  Manually operated lightweight equipment (made of Fibre/Plastic)
     with wheels on both sides.           
2)  Easy to assemble and dismantle.
3)  Drums of 20 mm dia for feeding the seeds.
4)  No. of rows (4 Rows/8 Rows) can be increased/decreased by
     adjusting the no. of drums.
5)  Fitted with long handle for pulling on easily.
6)  Designed and developed by the Tamilnadu Agricultural University, 
     Coimbatore.

 

Mode of working:


1) Prepare the field for sowing the seeds.
2) Use pre-germinated seeds only.
3) Fill the drums with seeds to its2/3rd capacity only.
4) Pull on the equipment in normal walking speed, using the long handle.
5) The level of seeds in the drum should always be maintained to its
    1/4th capacity.

Benefits:


1) Eliminates the most expensive and laborious work of transplantation
    of paddy from nursery to the field.
2) Ensures uniform distance between rows and thereby uniform growth.
3) Makes the weeding much easier.
4) Eliminates the waste of seeds by using the minimum quantity of
    seeds.
